Fresh and dry hair is common - but oh so annoying. But what exactly is damaging your hair, and how to repair it? Here we list 3 things that hurt more than you might think.
1. You bleach or dye your hair
The feeling when you leave the hairdresser with freshly dyed hair is wonderful. But even if the hair looks beautiful, it does not always feel so good. When bleaching, chemicals are added which in practice open up the outer layer of the hair shaft to change the pigment from the inside. This can lead to the scales on the hair being damaged and moisture disappearing. It makes the hair dry and brittle, with split ends and a fresh feeling. The hair gets damaged, quite simply. The hairdresser usually uses various moisturizing products to make the hair softer, but it is a short-term solution that is washed off after a couple of times.
Solution: You need to repair your hair at the molecular level, and not just temporarily. Try a repair treatment that suits all hair types. Eyracure contains organically repairing molecules in a spray as well as UV light from a special hairbrush. You spray the molecules in the hair and then brush with the UV brush to activate the molecules. This repairs the damage to the hair and makes the strands stronger, healthier and thicker. You just need to do the treatment at about six to eight week intervals, that is, about as often as you need to go to the hairdresser.
2. You are using the wrong products for your hair
Shampoos and conditioners that contain chemicals are not good for your hair. Some common ingredients are sulfates, silicones and parabens but which instead of strengthening can make the hair dry and brittle. They can also affect the natural balance of the scalp and give you itching, redness or eczema.
Solution: Choose a shampoo and conditioner that is free of sulfates, parabens and silicones. Invest in products with caring and protective substances such as aloe vera, panthenol, glycerol, silk protein, argan oil or shea butter.
3. You style your hair with warmth
Do you usually style your hair in beautiful curls, does it blow dry for more volume, or do you use the straightener to get a straight and shiny wave? What many do not think about is that the heat from a hair clipper, hair dryer or straightener can be over 300 degrees. It wears on the hair and the result is damaged hair with burnt and split ends.
Solution: Always use a heat shield before starting your styling. There are different types of products that you can have in both wet, damp and dry hair. Also try to reduce the use of heating equipment to a maximum of twice a week.
